Zoe MULLINS
Australian born, Melbourne
based artist Zoe Mullins’ work deals with the patterns and forms found in
nature in a way which seeks to draw attention to the intricacies and inherent
beauty present in our environment and in the internal structures of the
organic. Her work takes shape in various forms including photography and printmaking; however, her main
passion lies in painting. Using the traditional technique of oil glazing, the
work places an emphasis on tonality, simplicity and balance and is imbued with
the symbolic. The work details various amalgamations and abstractions of nature
with its visceral and circumspect character, lending itself to a transparency
of interpretation.
