Alex Purchase’s work is an investigation into the theatre of
architecture and the psycho-geographical nature of liminal spaces. Fantasy,
cinema and virtual reality strongly underpin the work, which operates as a study
in the construction of ‘atmosphere’ and its psychological significance.
